Freddy Garcia demoted to bullpen

After back-to-back outings in which he could not get out of the second inning and his third PQS-0 in four starts, Freddy Garcia (RHP, NYY) was demoted to the bullpen, according to the Yankees official website. Garcia, with his 44% H% and 41% S%, perhaps deserved a bit better results this season. His xERA sits at 4.51, and his command is still north of the 2.0 threshold, so Garcia should perhaps not be written off entirely, despite his advancing age and demotion, as opportunity may yet again knock for him, either in New York or elsewhere.
