Lewis returns to Rangers' rotation

The Texas Rangers activated Colby Lewis (RHP, TEX) from the DL, and he started Wednesday afternoon's game against Oakland.  Lewis has been out since the end of June with right forearm tendinitis.  Martín Pérez (LHP, TEX) was returned to AAA-Round Rock to make room.

Lewis has had a strong season, with a 3.51 ERA fully supported by his skills.  He's been showing control growth since his 2010 return from two seasons in Japan, and this year has posted a miniscule 1.1 Ctl ratio, while raising his Dom to 8.1 from 7.6 last season. Lewis has always had a tendency to give up home runs, and in 2011 a rise in his fly ball rate to 49% led to a league-leading 35 home runs allowed.  This...
