Robertson sprains foot in fall

David Robertson (RHP, NYY) had an MRI and several tests on Thursday after spraining his right foot in a fall at his spring training home Wednesday night. Robertson was seen in camp with a walking boot, and although manager Joe Girardi downplayed the incident before Thursday's spring training game, afterwards he admitted some concern. Results of the tests, including a CT scan and weight-bearing X-ray, should be known on Friday.

Robertson had a masterful breakout season in 2011, with a 1.08 ERA, 13.5 Dom, and 139 BPV as a set-up reliever. He has been surmised to be Mariano Rivera's successor should Rivera choose to retire after the 2012 season. If he is out for any length of time,
