Could Romero lose his starting spot?

After yet another disastrous outing on Wednesday (1.1 IP, 6 BB, 8 ER), Blue Jays brass met to discuss what's wrong with Ricky Romero (LHP, TOR). Though manager John Farrell's public comments after the game seemed to indicate that sending him down to the minors is not an option, the team does have some SP depth with recent acquisition J.A. Happ (LHP, TOR) in place.

Though stung by some bad luck in July (37%/57% H%S%), Romero has also dug his own hole: 16 BB against just 15 K in 25 IP in July. The return of his control problems are especially disconcerting. After two seasons of improved control (and a 3.2 mark in 2011), Romero has walked nearly 5 batters a game in his 21 starts...
