Santiago nets save for White Sox

Well, we warned you (sort of).

Back on March 26, we noted that Chicago White Sox GM Kenny Williams had played coy when asked if 24-year-old Héctor Santiago (LHP, CHW) had entered the team's closer mix. We now know that, in this case, where there was spring-training smoke, there was fire. Santiago was given the team's first save opportunity April 7 and converted with a clean inning. The save came after Addison Reed (RHP, CHW) had pitched in the seventh and Matt Thornton (LHP, CHW) in the eighth.
