Red Sox sign Victorino

Having earlier inked Mike Napoli (1B/C, BOS) to a three-year contract, the Red Sox continued to replenish their roster during the Winter Meetings by signing Shane Victorino (OF, BOS) to a similar three-year pact. While trade rumors continue to swirl around Jacoby Ellsbury (OF, BOS), Victorino projects to be the Red Sox regular right fielder, lessening the need for the team to press into service the promising but oft-injured Ryan Kalish (OF, BOS).
