Nationals | Ryan Zimmerman goes on DL
Washington Nationals 1B Ryan Zimmerman (oblique) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Saturday, May 12, because of a right oblique strain. The team also selected the contract of 1B Mark Reynolds from Class AAA Syracuse and transferred RHP Joaquín Benoit (forearm) to the 60-day disabled list.  Source: MLBRosterMoves
 
BHQ take: After spending a couple of days saying Zimmerman was day-to-day, the Nats placed him on the DL. The Nats and Zimmerman’s owners will hope that this transaction doesn’t follow the path of other Washington injuries and devolve into a long absence....
