Cardinals | Matt Adams facing lengthy absence
Updating a previous report, St. Louis Cardinals 1B Matt Adams (quadriceps) has a severe tear in his quadriceps which could require surgery, and he could miss significant time with the injury.  Source: St. Louis Post-Dispatch - Derrick Goold
 
BHQ take: The team later tweeted that Adams will be out three to four months, but didn't provide any further details on whether or not surgery would be needed.
