Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim SP Tim Lincecum's deal with the team became official after he passed a physical Thursday, May 19. He'll make $2.5 million plus $1.75 million in incentives.  Source: MLB Network - Jon Heyman
 
BHQ take: The initial estimate is that Lincecum will require four to six weeks before he'll be ready to join the rotation, which makes him a 2H option. Plenty can happen between now and then, but currently, the most obvious candidate for Lincecum to replace is Matt Shoemaker, who has an 8.49 ERA (5.45 xERA) and 2.1 hr/9 after seven starts.
