Chicago Cubs 1B Anthony Rizzo (back) is expected to be placed on the 10-day disabled list. That move would be retroactive to Friday, April 6.  Source: Chicago Sun-Times - Gordon Wittenmyer
 
BHQ take: Early indications are that backup catcher Victor Caratini will be Rizzo's primary 1B replacement, likely boosting top catcher Willson Contreras' share of the catching duties. Contreras could also see 1B PT with Caratini catching some games while Rizzo is sidelined. Caratini has displayed strong plate skills throughout his pro career, and has shown signs of developing power....
