NEWS: New York Yankees 1B Anthony Rizzo (concussion) was placed on the 10-day injured list with post-concussion syndrome Thursday, Aug. 3.

BHQ SPIN: Rizzo is considered week-to-week by the club, according to manager Aaron Boone. Rizzo believes the injury stems from a collision back on May 28, which explains his woeful production in the 46 games since (1 HR, .172 BA, .225 Slg). 1B Jake Bauers has taken the lead at first in Rizzo’s absence, at least against right-handed pitching, and his move into the infield has a trickle-down effect, opening up playing time in the outfield for OF Billy McKinney and OF Isiah Kiner-Falefa. The club also recalled UT Oswaldo Cabrera from Class AAA...
