Yankees | Mark Teixeira out two more weeks
Updating a previous report, New York Yankees 1B Mark Teixeira (shin) will be out at least two more weeks with a lingering bone bruise on his right shin, according to general manager Brian Cashman. More tests Monday, Aug. 31, didn't show any new damage, but Teixeira needs to be completely off of his leg for his injury to heal. He'll be on crutches for an unknown timetable, and the possibility remains that he won't play again this year. Teixeira leads the Yankees in home runs (31), RBI (79) and OPS (.905). He also received an anti-inflammatory injection.  Source:
