Tampa Bay Rays RP Brad Boxberger (abdomen) had surgery to repair a core muscle and will miss eight weeks, according to manager Kevin Cash. The team will fill his role internally, and they won't name an official closer.  Source: Tampa Bay Times - Marc Topkin
 
BHQ take: The muscle in question is the adductor brevis muscle in Boxberger's groin, and a more accurate determination of his recovery schedule will be made four weeks after the March 18 surgery. In the meantime, Cash indicated that there would be no designated closer during this period, and that the team would use...
