NEWS: Atlanta sent reliever Ben Heller to Triple-A in anticipation of activating Max Fried to start on Friday against the Cubs.

BHQ SPIN: Fried hasn’t pitched since early May, so he’s likely to be on a pitch limit, which means he won’t go deep into the game. When Fried is healthy, he’s one of the best pitchers in baseball; however, fantasy managers may want to be cautious starting him until he shows he’s back in form. We had been anticipating this move for some time, so Fried gets a very small bump to his already significant playing time allocation from 11% to 11.5%. Heller had a 4.90 xERA and a 30 BPV over 14.1 innings. He may return to Atlanta before 2023 ends, but he’s not likely...
