NEWS: Philadelphia placed first baseman Darick Hall on the IL and announced he will have thumb surgery. Kody Clemens was recalled.

BHQ SPIN: The Phillies have not indicated how much time Hall will miss, but similar injuries have required six to eight weeks on the IL. Clemens started at first on Thursday and went 0-for-2 with a walk. Barring an acquisition, the Phils indicated that Clemens (who bats left) will start at first against RHP, while against southpaws Alec Bohm will cross the field and play first base. Against LHP, it seems that either Edmundo Sosa (who hit a pinch-hit home run on Friday) or Josh Harrison is likely to man the hot corner. We will continue to monitor the...
