NEWS: Cleveland designated RHP Noah Syndergaard for assignment.

BHQ SPIN: After being acquired by Cleveland at the trade deadline, Syndergaard made five starts with the team and compiled a 4.94 ERA backed by a middling 6.7% K-BB%. We’ve zeroed out Syndergaard’s projected innings and spread them around Cleveland’s pitching staff, with the biggest increases going to Cal Quantrill and Xzavion Curry. According to reports, the team’s plan was for Quantrill’s rehab outing on Saturday to be the final one before he rejoins the major league rotation.
