'Maybe a little mental break and start over,' manager Ryne Sandberg said of Brown's status. Brown took extra batting practice Tuesday and will be asked to regain a 'compact, short, more of a line-drive approach.' Of 55 outfielders with 250-plus plate appearances, Brown is near the bottom in batting average (.218), on-base percentage (.272) and slugging percentage (.324).
