NEWS: Jacob deGrom will be out until at least mid-2024 following elbow surgery.

BHQ SPIN: After a “non-linear” recovery from forearm inflammation, the Rangers’ and deGrom’s fantasy managers’ worst fears were confirmed, as a new MRI confirmed that deGrom has a tear in his right ulnar collateral ligament. The full extent of deGrom’s surgery won’t be known until team doctors actually perform the procedure; it could be a full Tommy John ligament reconstruction or a lesser procedure. But either way, he’ll be sidelined for at least 12 months.
