Updating previous reports, New York Mets SP Zack Wheeler (elbow) has been diagnosed with a fully torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow, and he is headed for season-ending Tommy John surgery. Wheeler had an MRI exam Saturday, March 14, and he'll travel to New York early this week to meet with Dr. David Altchek, according to general manager Sandy Alderson. SP Dillon Gee is a good candidate to jump into the rotation to take Wheeler's spot.  Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Adam Rubin
