NEWS: Texas will place rookie All-Star 3B Josh Jung on the IL with a broken thumb.

BHQ SPIN: We don’t yet have a timeline on Jung’s injury, but six weeks’ recovery is typical, which would sideline the 25-year-old for most of the remainder of the regular season. UT Ezequiel Duran will likely get most of the starts at 3B in Jung’s absence, but IF Josh Smith will also get some starts at the hot corner against RHP. Expect Robbie Grossman to grab most of the AB that Duran was getting in the LF/DH slots.
