PT TODAY: Maeda injury leaves MIN with rotation opening

NEWS: RHP Kenta Maeda is expected to be placed on the IL.

IMPACT: Low

BHQ SPIN: MIN has activated Josh Winder but he is likely to pitch in long relief. That leaves the vacant spot in the rotation to either RHPs Bailey Ober or Louie Varland. Maeda seems to have avoided serious injury to his elbow as it has been diagnosed as a muscle strain. It could be Ober, who picked up a spot start earlier this week and gave up just 1 ER in 5.2 IP with a 4/3 K/BB. We’ll deduct 1% from Maeda and give it to Ober and make further adjustments when more news on his Maeda’s recovery becomes available.
