NEWS: Los Angeles acquired infielder Eduardo Escobar from the Mets via trade.

IMPACT: Low

BHQ SPIN: With the news of Gio Urshela being ruled out for the remainder of the season with a fractured pelvis, the Angels’ bench was noticeably light. They went out and got Escobar and some cash for a couple of minor league pitchers. Escobar will fill a utility role as he has the ability to play all across the infield. The corresponding 26-man roster move has not yet been announced, but one of Kevin Padlo or Michael Stefanic is destined for a demotion. He’ll receive a 10-point boost in his franchise transition because of the lack of bench options and the litany of injuries the Angels are currently dealing...
