| New York Mets 2B Daniel Murphy (calf) was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right calf. Murphy had an MRI exam on his injured calf Thursday, Aug. 28. 2B Dilson Herrera was recalled from Double-A Binghamton to fill Murphy's spot on the roster.
