BHQ take: This news has seemed inevitable for some time. Howie Kendrick is expected to get most of the playing time at second while Murphy is out. Kendrick is coming off a solid 2017 in which he batted .315 with nine homers and 12 steals over 305 at-bats. Those numbers probably overstate his performance a little, as he had an uncharacteristic 38% hit rate—his xBA was a more modest .285. Similarly,...
