Indians | Yan Gomes headed to DL
Updating previous reports, Cleveland Indians C Yan Gomes (shoulder, knee) will go on the 15-day disabled list with a dislocated right shoulder. Gomes also jammed his left knee, which he said was fine. C Roberto Pérez (thumb) will be recalled from his rehab assignment and be activated Monday, July 18. The team said Perez will be their catcher, and the thought of pursuing another one outside of the organization was downplayed.
