Athletics | Jarrod Parker likely to need surgery
Updating a previous report, Oakland Athletics SP Jarrod Parker (elbow) has been diagnosed with a fractured medial epicondyle in his right elbow. He sustained the injury while throwing a pitch in a rehab game for Triple-A Nashville Friday, May 8. According to trainer Nick Paparesta, Parker will be sent home and will visit several specialists before they determine the next course of action. Surgery appears to be imminent but the type of procedure Parker will need to undergo is not yet known.  Source: San Jose Mercury News - John Hickey
