PT TODAY: Pérez rejoins Royals for final week

AMERICAN LEAGUE

Royals

NEWS: Kansas City reinstated C Salvador Pérez from the 7-day Concussion IL and optioned C Tyler Cropley to AAA-Omaha.

IMPACT: Medium

BHQ SPIN: Pérez ended up missing about a week with a concussion and is expected to resume a regular role upon his return. However, it is possible that the team eases Pérez’s catching workload and increases his time at designated hitter in the last week of the season. If this happens, Logan Porter would see more time at catcher and Edward Olivares would be at risk of losing designated hitter at-bats.
