NEWS: Bryce Harper started at first for Philadelphia on July 21st. The Phillies also recalled Jake Cave and optioned Drew Ellis to Triple-A.

BHQ SPIN:  Harper’s appearance at first will mark his first professional start there. We’re moving a chunk of the playing time we had given him at DH to first base. For now, we’re going to be cautious and put his playing time there at 45%. Assuming he does get significant playing time at first, a number of playing time dominoes are triggered. Notably, we’re moving some of Kyle Schwarber’s playing time from outfield to DH. That in turn may lead to additional playing time in the outfield for Cave, who for now is a beneficiary of a playing time bump...
