Indians | Jason Kipnis placed on disabled list
Cleveland Indians 2B Jason Kipnis (shoulder) was placed on the disabled list with a sore right shoulder Monday, Aug. 3. In a corresponding move, SS José Ramírez was recalled from Class AAA Columbus.  Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Paul Hoynes
 
BHQ take: Ramirez opened the season as CLE's regular SS. His struggles at the plate and afield resulted in a June demotion to Triple-A. He got the initial start as Kipnis' 2B replacement, though he is likely to split time with veteran Mike Aviles while Kipnis is sidelined. Neither is capable of Kipnis' 2015 level...
