Cubs | Anthony Rizzo aims for Friday
Chicago Cubs 1B Anthony Rizzo (back) hopes to return to the lineup Friday, Aug. 29.  Source: MLB.com - Carrie Muskat

BHQ take: Rizzo has been truly an everyday player this season, having played in 129 of CHC's 130 games before being forced out of the August 26 game with back pain. He has missed CHC's past two games, with Chris Valaika his replacement. Valaika is not roster-worthy in any format. He has a career .228 xBA with below-average speed and power in 172 AB spread across four separate seasons.   —Tom Kephart
