NEWS: The Rangers placed SS Corey Seager on the 10-day IL with a sprained right thumb.

IMPACT: Medium

BHQ SPIN: The impact here is “Medium” mainly due to Seager’s massive fantasy value; the hope is that the shortstop will miss at or close to the minimum 10 days. C/DH Sam Huff was recalled to take Seager’s place on the roster, but doesn’t figure to get much playing time. Meanwhile, UT Ezequiel Duran, who’s been seeing most of his time at DH, will slide to SS. The main PT beneficiaries would appear to be C/DH Mitch Garver, who had been seeing few recent AB, and OF/DH Robbie Grossman. Garver and Jonah Heim will share catching and DH duties, and Grossman will get a DH start here and there against RHP...
