Giants | Matt Cain placed on DL
San Francisco Giants SP Matt Cain (elbow) was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday, Aug. 28, because of nerve irritation in his elbow. The Giants also recalled SP Chris Heston from Class AAA Sacramento. He received a cortisone shot and underwent an MRI a few days ago which came back clean. Cain hopes to be able to pitch after 15 days.  Source: MLB.com - Chris Haft
 
BHQ take: Cain admitted to feeling elbow discomfort during his Aug. 25 start in which he surrendered eight hits and six earned runs in his five innings. If 2015 was a fish, Cain certainly would throw it back....
