NEWS: Chicago placed OF Eloy Jiménez on the 10-day injured list because of an appendectomy and recalled C Carlos Pérez.

IMPACT: High

BHQ SPIN: Jiménez is expected to miss four to six weeks as he recovers. He's struggled a bit to open 2023, slashing .258/.321/.423 with 4 HR and 15 RBI in 106 PA. Of course, he has struggled to stay on the field in recent seasons: He missed time in April nursing a bad hamstring, in 2022 with a hamstring injury and in 2021 with a pectoral injury. We’ll deduct 25% of playing time from Jiménez‘s ledger. Pérez will be up to be the backup catcher for Chicago....
