New York Yankees 1B Mark Teixeira (knee) was placed on the 15-day disabled list Saturday, June 4, because of an articular cartilage tear in his right knee. The team also recalled 1B Chris Parmelee from Class AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.  Source: Newsday - David Lennon
