NEWS: RHP Cade Horton will miss the rest of the season due to elbow reconstruction surgery.

Javier Assad, who threw 80 pitches in 5.2 innings on Tuesday, also appears to have some runway on a rotation spot while Boyd is on the IL, leaving Ben Brown in a relief role for the time being.
