Cincinnati Reds
NEWS: SS Elly De La Cruz expects to be reinstated from the IL today (hamstring).
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: The Reds’ superstar makes his way back into the lineup after a three-week hiatus. De La Cruz has been excellent this season, posting a .280/.346/.509 slash line with 12 HR and 10 SB over 257 PA. The move will allow 2B/SS Matt McLain to slide back over to second base, putting 2B/SS Edwin Arroyo’s role in jeopardy. Arroyo has struggled in his first stint at the MLB level, generating a paltry .584 OPS with 0 HR and 0 SB in just 56 PA.
