NEWS: RHP Kumar Rocker will open as the Rangers’ fifth starter, with LHP Jacob Latz heading to the bullpen. TEX also released RHPs Austin Gomber, and Cal Quantrill
IMPACT: High 
BHQ SPIN: Rocker finished camp on a high note, while Latz notably saw his fastball velocity drop late in spring training as he was extended multiple innings. Add to that the desire to use the versatile Latz in a swingman role, and TEX ultimately chose Rocker to round out the rotation. Don’t be surprised, though, to see Latz pile up plenty of relief (and maybe some SP) innings, possibly even in a piggyback role with Rocker.
