NEWS: Baltimore reinstated RHP Grayson Rodriguez from the 15-day IL.

BHQ SPIN: Rodriguez, who had been sidelined since April 30 in what the team deemed a “precautionary” move due to shoulder soreness, returned to Baltimore’s rotation on Saturday after not requiring a rehab assignment. Rodriguez pitched well in his return (6 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 7 K, 3 BB), working up to 82 pitches. With Rodriguez returning to the rotation, Cole Irvin was in Baltimore’s bullpen on Saturday. However, indications are that Baltimore is likely to shift to a six-man rotation including Irvin in the near future as they embark on a stretch of 30 games in 31 days.
