Seager appendectomy means bigger role for Moore

NEWS: SS Corey Seager was diagnosed with appendicitis and underwent an emergency appendectomy on Thursday, 8/28.

BHQ SPIN: It’s the latest, “sure, why not?” moment for the beleaguered Rangers club, which has been beset with all varieties of the injury bug over the last week. 2B Dylan Moore, recently claimed off waivers from SEA, will join the TEX roster to replace Seager. Moore gets the biggest bump in PT here, as the veteran will likely grab at least the plurality of starts at 2B with Marcus Semien on the shelf. Unlike Semien, though, Seager is expected back sometime in September. In the meantime, expect Josh H. Smith to fill in at SS most days, with UT Ezequiel Duran also getting a few...
