NEWS: Chicago placed LHP Justin Steele on the 15-day IL with left elbow tendinitis and recalled RHP Ethan Roberts from AAA-Iowa.

BHQ SPIN: After Steele alerted the team that he felt some elbow tightness during his Monday outing, Chicago decided to play it cautious and place him on the IL. Steele is set to undergo an MRI on Thursday but for now the team is optimistic that he will only require a minimum stay on the IL. Chicago recalled Roberts to fill a middle-relief role and it still remains to be seen how they will fill Steele’s spot in the rotation. The most likely replacement option is Colin Rea, who has been pitching out of Chicago’s bullpen. Jordan Wicks, who has been pitching in the AAA...
