Strider on track for Wednesday return

NATIONAL LEAGUE

Atlanta Braves
NEWS: Spencer Strider is expected to make his first MLB start in over a year on Wednesday.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: Strider has been lights out during his minor league rehab starts so he should be good to go (although it wouldn’t be a surprise if Atlanta puts him on a pitch count limit). We had anticipated his early season return so he only receives a small playing time bump. Bryce Elder’s playing time projection takes a small hit, as Strider’s return is expected to push him out of the regular Braves starting rotation.

New York Mets
NEWS: Sean Manaea was given the go ahead to start light throwing from 60 feet, but the time table for his return has been pushed back, likely to June.
