Swanson's return to Chicago pushes Crow-Armstrong back to minors

NEWS: Chicago reinstated SS Dansby Swanson from the 10-day IL and optioned IF/OF Miles Mastrobuoni and CF Pete Crow-Armstrong to AAA-Iowa. According to reports, Chicago will also recall IF Luis Vázquez from AAA-Iowa on Tuesday.

BHQ SPIN: Swanson is expected to return to a full-time role as Chicago’s shortstop after a relatively short IL stint for a sprained right knee. In a corresponding move, Mastrobuoni, who was seeing time at second base and shortstop with Swanson and Nico Hoerner (who is currently day-to-day with a hamstring issue) sidelined, was optioned to AAA.
