NEWS: Chicago reinstated RHP Jameson Taillon from the 15-day IL and IF Patrick Wisdom from the 10-day IL. RHP Hayden Wesneski and IF/OF Miles Mastrobuoni were optioned to AAA-Iowa.

BHQ SPIN: Taillon, who made two rehab starts after being sidelined during the spring due to a back issue, will join Chicago’s rotation on Friday. In a corresponding move, Chicago optioned Wesneski, who was with the team as a temporary bullpen reinforcement. The demotion of Wesneski rather than a member of the current rotation may indicate that one of Chicago’s starters could be moving to the bullpen, though the team has not announced whether this will be the case.
