NEWS: The Tigers reinstated 3B/OF Matt Vierling from the 10-day IL; LHP Sean Guenther was optioned to AAA-Toledo in a corresponding move.

Vierling will return to make his season debut sometime this weekend after pinch hitting on Friday.  He had missed the entirety of the 2025 season after suffering a rotator cuff strain in February.  Vierling is a versatile player who is capable of filling in at third base and at the corner outfield positions. He will need to lean on that flexibility in order to earn his way back into the lineup.
