NEWS: OF Mike Trout will begin a rehab assignment for AAA-Salt Lake on Monday, and Angels could activate him as soon as Thursday, July 25.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: There had been scant news on Trout’s rehab recently; this indicates that he is much closer to return than anticipated from the torn meniscus he suffered in late April. As such, we’ve bumped up his projected OF playing time at the expense of Mickey Moniak and Kevin Pillar, as we forecast an Adell/Trout/Ward outfield on most days—though of course Ward’s name has been bandied about in trade rumors recently. We expect Trout to also DH some as a way of easing him back into the lineup.
