BHQ SPIN: When closer Devin Williams was announced to miss the first two months of the season, Uribe was looked upon to be an important part of the back of the Brewers’ bullpen. ThBaseball Forecaster noted Uribe’s “closer starter kit” of high K%, high GB% and the mitigation of HRs. Things were looking on target when Uribe was called on to save three of the first four games for the Brewers in their first week of action, but he quickly lost the confidence of manager Pat Murphy as he issued almost as many walks (12) as strikeouts (14), resulting in just a 3% K-BB%.
