NEWS: RHP Nick Pivetta has been diagnosed with a right flexor strain and is looking at “weeks, maybe months” of rest and rehab according to manager Craig Stammen.

BHQ SPIN: An MRI revealed Pivetta’s flexor strain after he had left his April 12 start in the top of the 4th inning with elbow stiffness. He will now be shut down for what looks to be an extended period of time and we have reduced his projected IP to 6.0%, reflecting an expectation that he will be out until about July 1.
