Wesneski gets a chance to start in Wicks' absence

NEWS: Chicago placed LHP Jordan Wicks on the 15-day IL with a strained left forearm.

BHQ SPIN: Wicks was scratched from his scheduled start on Sunday with soreness in his left forearm and will now miss at least two weeks after being placed on the 15-day IL. In Wicks’ place, Hayden Wesneski, who had been in Chicago’s bullpen as a long reliever, made the start on Sunday. Wesneski may stick around for 1-2 starts depending on the return timeline of Justin Steele, who is targeting a rehab assignment this week and threw 47 pitches in an extended spring training game on Friday. With Wicks sidelined, it is also likely that Ben Brown will remain in the rotation rather than move to the bullpen once...
