Toronto Blue Jays
NEWS: Toronto placed RP Yimi García on the 15-day IL with right elbow inflammation; RP Brandon Eisert was promoted from AAA-Buffalo in a corresponding move.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: García left an appearance with elbow soreness which resulted in a diagnosis of right ulnar nerve inflammation after an MRI came back with no structural damage. García had been filling in admirably for injured closer Jordan Romano. In 6 ip since taking over the role he has converted 3 SV while registering 11 K and producing a 2.54 xERA. Expect Eisert to serve more of a depth role for Toronto, while Romano is still building up to a return to mound work in his recovery. For more on Eisert, see Daily Callups.
