After a 2018 season that saw the White Sox lose 100 games, they are hovering near .500 through 57 games played. Though they don’t figure to be in the hunt for the AL Central division title this season, they have a number of pitchers on the horizon who figure to find themselves in the mix for rotation spots, including Dylan Cease (RHP, CHW) and, once they recover and return from Tommy John surgery, likely in 2020, both Michael Kopech (RHP, CHW) and Dane Dunning (RHP, CHW). By then, current closer Alex Colomé (RHP, CHW) could be long gone via trade, as there are a number of teams in the postseason hunt looking for actual closers or hoping to bolster their bullpens.
